This is a cause held incredibly close to many horse riders, and for anyone in the Midlands or nearby, this is a great event with AMAZING prizes.

Please feel free to ask questions or contact me for ticket info.

Mods, if you feel like it could be a sticky, that would be awesome.

Also, can anyone tell me how I would get this info published in Horse and Hound? Obviously want to raise the rofile as much as possible.

Thank you :)

I'll post it directly here too then :)

It's not often I do one of these group posts, unless it REALLY strikes a chord with me.

Remember back in 2009, when my sister Rebecca nearly died after a completely freak riding accident? The deciding factor in her survival was that she was picked up by the charity-funded Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Rutland Air Ambulance. She literally owes her life to them. (Read her story on this page: http://www.justgiving.com/keep-us-flying )

Sadly, more recently, my friends Derek and Lyndsey Shaw lost their young daughter - and once again, the actions of the Air Ambulance meant that young Ellie was given every chance to survive. Unfortunately, Ellie was not so lucky as my sister.

This August 21st, 1pm till late, Derek and Lyndsey Shaw are opening the doors of their horse racing yard to the public in aid of the Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Rutland Air Ambulance. All proceeds go to this essential CHARITY.

The event will include a silent auction and raffle with prizes including:

* A tour around the Darley Stud and lunch in their private box at Newmarket.

* Shares in race horses.

* Eden Hall day pass.

* Mystery weekend away in a 4 star hotel.

* Racehorse owner hamper.

* A full motorcycle licence, including tuition, insurance, bike hire, fuel and test fees.

* A day at the races in the role of an owner (four people).

* Olympia tickets.

* Signed photos from Pippa and William Funnell.

* Signed Notts Forest T-Shirt.

* Signed jodphurs from Champion Jockey Paul Hanaghan.

* Something from Michael Owen but we're not sure what that is yet!

Plus more prizes yet to be confirmed.........

Barclays Bank are also donating £750 to match the first £750 raised at the event.

There will be a hog roast, live band, demonstrations by Mickey Gavin, and you will of course get to see the amazing set up of the yard.

Tickets are limited to first come, first served and are £25 (paid by cheque, all to charity!!!) so please contact me for tickets and further details.

Venue post code is LE14 4RA.
