So who had a good weekend then?

- My 3yo colt loose jumped over 4ft for the first time (he hasn't been loose jumping long and only stands at 15.1hh)
- The next day we went for a hack and my 3yo behaved impecably - we passed other horses, lots of scary things (that sent his 15yo babysitter into a nervous wreck) and he just took them all in his stride.
- I got loads of jobs done around the yard, rehanging mangers, sorting out tie rings and tool hooks, mending fencing - a very productive weekend.

- I washed and reproofed a few rugs!
- My horse has developed a personality which shows he is FINALLY settling into his new home
- I took apart all my tack, and cleaned it thoroughly - as well as my riding boots

Ermmm... I think that's it. Surprisingly for a Monday morning I am in a very good mood!

I had a great weekend

- Horse loaded perfectly to go cubbing, and perfectly to come back (anyone who has seen my recent posts will know he can be a b*gger to load, so hopefully we've finally cracked it)
- Horse seems to have finally settled cubbing too. Had an hour of silly behaviour but settled to it quickly and had a great morning on saturday

We did some ace cross country schooling yesterday.
My horse has been a bit off form after he fell jumping at home a while back which knocked his confidence and our last couple of outings haven't been great.
My instructor took him out last weekend to rebuild his confidence and we went for a play yesterday. He was flying and it was lovely to have him back to his old self.

I rode my horse for the first time since March yippeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!
( he has been poorly so have I) God it felt good!!!!
Packing getting ready to move in three weeks double yipeeeee!!!!!
So I am soooooooo happy!!!!!! Triple yipeeeeee!!!!!!

i had great cross country competition yesterday-there was a BE skinny added to course which caused 2/3 of the competitors to be eliminated so rather worried bout it before i started but no need to worry he flew it and we came third in pairs and 3rd in singles!! well chuffed!!

Hovis was a saint whilst all about him went mad on the hunting field yesterday (see earlier post). I am increasingly convinced god broke the mould when he made my baby boy - he is one in a milion.

I had a great weekend too!!

THe coblet managed to canter 20 m circles on both reins (in true cob style likes to pretend anything but straight lines in difficult!!

The BGL managed an entire hour in the school without a single hissy fit and was really forward the whole way through it!!

Took daughter with her new(ish) pony indoor SJ. He has been really spooky so we went for the clear round first to let him get it out of hs system. Well, he flew round the clear round without looking at anything, then went double clear and won the 75cm. Really pleased with him, especially as there were some people there from our previous yard who have been a bit bitchy about my daughter.

I was sent this picture of my 12 year old daughter doing xc on her pony and it made me smile. She is out hunting next week with Surrey Union - nervous me? Never!

The little Section B hacked out twice over the weekend and after 3 months back in gentle work still seems totally sound (touch wood) a year after a nasty tendon injury. This is him (before injury)

Oh and one other happy thing - this is the Poppy the puppy who is coming to stay with her Mum and Grandma for ten days while my parents go on holiday.

My nephew said my name for the first time (well kind of, but he definately meant me!) and he got very exited watching HOYS!

Had huge argument with OH on Saturday (sounds bad), but it meant he went and talked to someone he owed money to and has arranged for us to do work to pay it off over the next month so hopefully I may be able to get a horse by the end of the year.

Pretty good weekend I think

Went to my first horse show to a) see what it was like and b) see what I'll need to do/look like with Harry when he goes to his first show. Was great fun and I sooooo want to get him going now! So spending my day at work in ebay looking for bargains

Now all I really need to sort is transport or I could attach a pair of wings and teach him to fly.... hehe!

I clipped my horse with my new clippers...woo-hoo

and had some lovely rides...did a bit of jumping.

Daughter rode her pony really well, she's 7 and he's 5 and both doing really good so far....

Washed a load of saddle cloths....

And the sun was shining

Had a lovely ride on a friends horse - hacked out with my OH for 20 mins (first time I've hacked this horse so I wanted to do a short one!), then pottered about in the school pretending I could do dressage
grin.gif
It worked, until I saw the pics OH took, when I realised that the horse can do dressage but I can't

Still, it was fun!

Had a lovely 2 hour hack over Cannock Chase on Sunday morning, glorious weather, lovely company and lots of long long canters
smile.gif

I went to a ride yesterday & galloped over loads of fields
smile.gif
. Then did a le Trec course. His Majesty was foot perfect - probably exhausted after the ride
blush.gif
. Great weather, perfect horse. Does life get better?

I sold two horses yesterday to nice people (horses are staying here with me)

Someone is coming to collect the last 2 kittens today.
I don't appear to need to call the Vet out for anything.
It isn't raining.
It is only -5C outside, the frost will soon disappear and it is forecast to reach 14C later.
The fire is roaring and my house is toasty warm.
OH is at work, daughter is at school

Am staring fitness campaing for now re noviced 20 year old endurance pony next year. Husband also supportive so long as he doesnt have to crew again!!!
