Everyone is saying they dont like it but ??

I really like it! I have been on other forums much the same as this so know the format well and feel much more at home! I'm actually likely to come on more often now so watch out lol!
 
Just spent the last half an hour having a play around. I really like it so far and as I am currently working on a system migration at work, I think they have done well to have it operating so well on the first day. Hope I don't jinx it now!
 
It isn't as bad as I thought it was going to be!
Still navigating my way around though.
Nobody likes change really do they? In a week we'll all have forgotten how it used to be.
 
I think I like it will take a day or too to get used to. The thing i like most is the jump forum at the bottom of page ,saves trawling upwards . The thing i miss about old forum is the show all feature
 
Not especially...

So far it seems slower to do the same things i could do before and more importantly i can't do some important things like see how many unread posts there are in a specific forum. I find the navigation cumbersome too...
 
I havent got the hang of it yet. But thanks to admin I am still here as I cant email at the moment, so I had to pm them to keep my name. Felt bad as they had enough to do without numpties like me!
 
I don't like it, or should I say my poor little Dial up conection don't like it, it takes a couple of minutes to load a page, so my lurking is going to take forever, I may even have to get a life now!!!!! or go make a cup of tea in between pages.
 
It is sooooooooo ssssslllllooooowwwwwww I thought the last one was bad but I can go off and do other things while this one is still loading for 5 minutes!
 
I dont like it at all. Quite hard to find the posts i've replied to and show interest in. The old one was so simple and much easier to view I think. :(
 
Don't like it at all, it's now almost identical to Equine World, it's waaayyyyyy too slow, and why the hell does it say we can't post attachments??
 
I don't like it either and think readers will get fed up with the current format and perhaps move to other forum sites. Mind you some areas have improved.
Far too slow and far too much wasted space per post. Plus the search is useless - you have to type in a verification code all the time.
 
It feels a bit odd at the moment but new things usually do. I think Admin have done brilliantly to get what must have been a mammoth undertaking done so quickly. There's many, many Govt departments could take a leaf from H&H book! Only thing I haven't worked out so far is how to read PMs. Anyone know?
 
It's new,I have to learn where everything is again,have to sort it out so posts appear as they should AND it wouldnt let me have my HHO:CSI badge for ages :mad:

But,it is very nice too....give it a few days and all will be well with the world of HHO :D
 
Nope, not at the moment.
Does a post keep moving to the top, every time someone adds a reply? I find that annoying and disorientating.

My worry is interesting and informative posts, where more people might want to read them but not everyone will reply, might begin to get dwarfed and lost becuase silly, populist things, such as when an argument's happened at a livery yard (which I don't really care about) will always be elevated to the front as it seems everyone likes to add their opinion to those sorts of things. grrrrr

...but, don't listen to me I'm getting old!
 
My first post on the 'new' forum, so still playing with the format... I like the clarity and clean look of the page, although I'm not too sure about the search function and verification codes: however, I'm sure I'll get used to it ;) Echo what others have said - Admin have done a good job with the migration :)

sorry for rambling on and moaning above, it's late!

I've been on here for a bit longer, and I do like lots of new things, and I actually find searches easier, especially searches for posts I've replied on from a long time ago. I'm sure we'll all get the hang of it soon!
 
I don't like the way it takes up the large majority of the page, I loved the way HHO used to be around 500px in width as I found it easier to read.

Also the way the new reply forums jump to the top as I have no idea what I've read and not now, and I miss the red numbers :(
 
It's fine - some of the things are not what I have set up in our vBulletin board - bit irritating to have to click quick reply rather than just use the box at the bottom of the screen, but it could be worse. You will all get used to it. And very impressed that it works so well, sigs etc have come across. Well done!!!
 
Agree it's kind of a pain to have to click which type of reply to do. But overall, I'm getting used to it. I think once I've been using it for a while I'll forget what the old format was like and just find this very easy to use. I think it looks nicer. I like navigating the pages better. It's growing on me. ;)
