I think something needs to be done about this.
It's sickening to watch and reduced me to tears by the time they were hitting the horse to get up. Horses aren't objects or things, they're living animals who feel things and although they might not understand everyone we do, they understand pain in the same way we do. Except what they don't understand is at they don't have to tolerate this pain being intentionally inflicted on them. I understand that when achieved in none abusive ways spectators may find it entertaining (although it serves no appeal to me), but I feel that until we can be sure this abuse is non existent, it just isn't worth it. I don't think these people deserve to be within 60 miles of a horse, let alone own one and I think people need to understand what goes on behind the scenes before going to a Tennessee walking horse show and supporting the trade. Personally, I find it sick that somebody could inflict pain on an animal, let alone to this extent
