I really agree with the common sense thing. You can never be prepared for every eventuality, horses have a way of surprising you so just use your common sense and I also think horses (particularly mine) are a lot tougher than people give them credit for they don't break particularly easily so enjoy yourself and try not to get too wrapped up in doing things wrong! Having a horse is the best way to learn and it sounds like your picking a sensible first horse too!! Enjoy!
