please can anyone advise ????
I am thinking of showing my exracer for the 1st time
What do i wear for in-hand & ridden ex racehorse classes.
Also what tack should I use, I have a dressage saddle & a GP?

Thanks x x x

Hi for in hand an in hand bridle or your double/snaffle bridle if going straight into a ridden class. For in hand either light or dark trousers depending on colour of horse (you go opposite). I then wear shirt and tie, tweed waistcoat and tweed hat and carry a cane. For Ridden long boots, cream jods, shirt and tie, tweed jacket and riding hat. Horse in either double/snaffle bridle with gp saddle. No martingales, flash nose bands, no numnah. Horse plaited. Hope this helps!

Thanks, it does help, will I need a plain brow band (I normally do dressage so most of mine are a bit bling!) and are rubber reins ok??
I have seen some pictures of inhand with cream jods & long boots is this also ok?? The show will only be a small local event?

You should never use an in-hand bridle on a horse 4yo and over unless it is a Native. Youngstock 3yo and under - slips and in-hand bridles. 4yo's and over should always be shown in either a double or pelham with 2 sets of reins inhand.
