Hi!
I acquired an ex racer about 5 months ago. He'd already done the very basics of English riding and now I'm bringing him on in his schooling.
However I'm now a bit stuck; I've been trying to do lots of circle work with him however when I ask for bend in the circle, it just gets tighter and smaller until he's falling over himself. No matter how much I hold or sponge the outside rein, or try and hold his inside shoulder. He also doesn't move over from my leg in a circle at all, although does it perfectly on a straight line so he knows what it means.
Its very frustrating and I'm going to be having lessons on him soon but any tips until then would be great!
