Ex-racers...

Hi everyone,
I currently have a lovely thoroughbred Wispa who is getting on a bit and far too sensible for my liking these days and am really looking for a new project. Was just wondering how people go about finding ex racers to rehome? Are there any good charities etc? Have wanted to do it for a while but have plenty of time and money atm for once so really wanna go for it!

There are quiet a few racehorse rescue places etc around. But a lovely lady on here under the name "GreysMedow" helped me find my mare. She very kindly helped me ring round racing yards etc to get into contact with people who have ex racers for sale or unsuccessful racers on there yard etc.

Might be worth giving some local racing yards a ring and tell them what your looking for and if theres any for sale or know of anything for sale through friends etc.

Equine Rescue & Rehabilitation, Bankendequinerescue - both of these rescuse TB's ex racers and could do with someone taking 1 or 2 of them on, to give them space to rescue others. Good luck
