This morning OH took one of our collies for a walk in the local woodland. Very soon after starting the walk the ghastly little sod (dog, not the OH) went off-piste and rolled lengthily and thoroughly in fox poo (covered in it, think embedded).
OH bravely continued the walk, keeping a social distance, and well downwind, and finally got back to the car. Problem: quite a clean car by OH's standards, and one cr*p-encrusted collie.
Now OH keeps some pedigree sheep. And always has empty sheep-feed sacks and baler twine cluttering up the car. Idea!! Grabs one of said plastic sacks, out with his pen-knife (always has been a practical type) and cuts holes for tail and legs. Pops stinky collie in (head sticking out of, of course, he wasn't that cross with her!) and ties it all neatly with baler twine to the collar!
Result! Drama-free journey home, reasonably odour-less, and no nasty fox poo on the seats! And the beginning of a sound business idea . . . No need to bother with those fancy and expensive dog-bag towels that you see in pet shops . . . We've got lots of sheep-feed sacks and we'll throw in the baler twine for free!
