I have just taken an elderly Staffie on trial (age 12). Lovely dog and my dogs and cat really get on well with him. I notice he drinks a lot of water (far more than my big dogs)and his fosterer said the same. I have him on grain free dried food.
I will obviously take him to the vets and ask for bloods, but I was wondering if it is often a sign of diabetes or cushings and if there was anything I could do to help him in the meantime? He does have mild cataracts.
He doesn't seem to be in any distress at all.
Thanks
