Had a horse come down with this at the yard today. Thought it was choke at first, but the saliva was clear (just a bit bubbly and frothy) Also, there was no visible signs of coughing or choking. We treated as choke first; massaging the throat area and trying to encourage him to cough it out but it still kept steadily dripping out. Horse seemed a bit under the weather and keeps perking up and eating a bit and they looking really fed up again. Saliva eventually cleared but keeps coming back from time to time. We also noticed that he is drinking quite a lot.
Keeping an eye on him, but never experienced anything like this before so not quite sure what it is. Anyone else had a horse with something like this?
