Excited about doing new pre-intro level tomorrow!

I know that a lot of people have slated this new level, but I think it's a good idea.

I'm only 15 and when I attempted an unaffiliated intro earlier this year I freaked out and got eliminated at the showjumping

I'm now comfortably jumping 3ft, so I'm hoping my first affiliated ODE will go smoothly as it's only 2 ft 7"

I'll report back on what it's like tommorow

Yep fence judging all day at Mattingley, I am there from 8.30 until the last horse goes xc at about 6.10, so a long day.

One of the BE officials told me in April that they want to run a Pre-Intro at my yard next April as a trial for the East Midlands. Hope they do!

Cool- there are only 2 events this year, and I think BE are going to look at their popularity to see whether it's worth running more of them next year.

The Intro course at my yard has a couple of nasty fences, that frankly are above the standard, so I would welcome the opportunity to start over "normal" XC fences and just get used to doing the 3 phases together.

Which fences on the intro course do you think are tricky DJ? I know the course relatively well but wondered how it differed from the HT/ODE Intemediate course they run there?

The brick kiln steps, the log out of 12, the pimple and the last log. Otherwise they are the same as the mini, or we can do them.

Don't think I have ever seen the pimple - where is that? Our personal bogey fence are those damn houses at the bottom of the hill

Is the broken bridge in the PN course then and not the intro?

Pimple is 14. The island thing. A lot of people have problems with the houses as they are very brightly coloured. The broken bridge is black flagged. I was fence judging there 2 weeks ago when we had a pile up on that fence. Messy...

Oh right - I know it. Do they jump on and off it in the intro then? Yes we had a stop at those houses - horse wanted to look in the windows and see what colour their carpets were before she would jump it

Luckily we did not come to grief at the broken bridge! Phew!
