I've just spoken to the trainer my horse has gone to. I should explain that I'm currnetly 8.5 months pregnant and also own a young horse (4yo). I had to stop riding him when I found out I was pregant with him being so young and prone to the occational tantrum as youngsters are I thought it wasn't worth the risk. As a result he's been turned out all summer and looks great for it, also he's really chilled out now whereas before he was a bit tense. Anyway because of impending baby I've handed him to a guy who breaks and schools competition horses for a few months. He only went last Saturday but is so far behaving himself and working well but is VERY VERY unfit. I've just spoken to the trainer and I'm going to visit him tomorrow to give him some fuss and watch him being worked. I can't wait! I really really can't wait to get back in the saddle either but thats a bit off yet. Got 3 weeks until my due day and I imagine I'll be s bit too sore to ride for a couple of weeks! Has anyone else gone through this? It would be nice to hear how you got on after baby was born!
