I have been a reader of this forum for many months now, but have never posted ... but I am very excited as I have just found myself a nice new yard - all to myself and all by chance really.
Have my three horses in a small village and was starting to look around as the grazing is getting very thin and fences are in need of repair etc but was handy for the time being.
While out riding saw a sign put up at the bottom of a garden advertising DIY livery, so after put horse away just jumped in car and pottled down the road and had a nose about, caught the owner and it turns out that the previous people only left on Tuesday and there are 8 stables, 10 acres and a 20x40 floodlit school, the price she quoted was for the whole yard which turned out to be just £28 per week more than what I am paying at the moment for three stables. She is commercial rated so I could have a livery to make up the 'extra £28' if I wanted to, but quite looking forward to having a place to myself.
I am allowed to do what I want, when I want, she seemed very easy going and (sorry all you younger riders - No kids !! ) going up there on Friday evening to read through paperwork etc. and if all is well could be in by the weekend. (no notice required at present yard!)
Hopelessly excited which is so silly for a 51 year old woman !!
