The old girl was booked for a pleasure ride today so was duly got ready. Her excitement was palpable when the lorry arrived she was desperate to go she nearly dragged her rider up the ramp before it had hit the floor. More excited dancing about once on and off they went. Picked up her friend on the way Pearl the Connie she grew up with from a 10 year old and the connie being a foal until the young lady that came to ride fell in love and bought her from me 5 years ago she moved to a different field about 3 years ago so they did spend a lot of time together. Pearl the connie leapt up the ramp to say hello (normally a sticky loader) and they set off for the venue. Hazel flew off the lorry with great joy so happy to be out and about again and they set off on the 12 mile ride. She was her usually bouyant self galloping and racing when ever she could and sometimes when she shouldn't and had an absolute ball came home tired but smug bless her her face was a picture at 24 you would think she would be slowing down but she was full of fun today she loves to be out and away from the field and is not averse to pissing off to be in front if she can get away with itView attachment brox.JPG

That's great! These oldies really have it don't they! I put up a jump for the big old horse (26) who I ride today as we are going to an arena Trec very soon and I thought we aught to have a little practice, not jumped anything for over a year. He was, essentially a true jumping horse in his day but I was worried he wouldn't feel like it any more........ no need to worry........ up went his head, ears pricked and we took off like a Grand National hurdler! Its the after the jump bit that I need to worry about.
