OM MY GOD (sorry im VERY excited!)

Ive just been awarded a 'wild card' to compete in the Novice Open Petplan Final at the Winter Championships in Solihul on 12th April!!!!!!!!!

The only problem is that i have to work out Bloss's seasons now as shes due to go into foal shortly, and if her season falls on the date i wont be able to go

And it means she will be in foal later than i wouldve wanted so there is more pressure for her to take first time........

But i am THRILLED!!!!!!!!!!!!

That's absolutely fantastic... she won't need to take first time at all, as some mares don't even go to stud until May and from what you are saying I think that will be the time she will be being inseminated.

Aw, it's so exciting honey!

Fantastic news well done.
They can induce (is that the right word) the mare so bring them in to season, so if it does coincide with the comp, she can be brought on after or before it.
I'm having this done to Hattie as she is impossible to tell when in season.

I bet that was a bit of a shock for you. I'll keep my fingers crossed and hopefully you will be able to go.

it was, i nearly cried (yup, pathetic i know!) We got 70.19% in the area festival and came 3rd, missed out on 2nd by 1mark, so i guess thats why i was awarded one!

Just counted up on my calender and i think we should be ok!!

How fantastic for you - I am a big believer in things happening for a reason so I am sure everything will work out for you. Best of luck.

yes, you see Bloss's seasons arent that regular so i was actually going to ask them to bring her into season anyways. Shes having her vet check on wednesday, so that will be one of the questions i will ask. i do want her in foal asap, as i wanted an early foal, so i guess when i get back from the comp i could get her brought into season the following week.

thank you!

well ive just done my entry and accepted my place, so foalie will be waiting!!

Fantastic news - that is an amazing achievement!!

Don't worry too much about getting bloss in foal early - as long as it is born by mid-summer (so it is strong enough to cope with the cold winter) it will be fine.

Assume it is intended for a career as a dressage horse anyway (and not to eg. race as a 2 year-old) - a couple of months will make no difference at all by the time it is 4 or 5!!

Sounds like an opportunity of a lifetime!

Brill news.. I too would be crying too!!!

What a lovely surprise!! I do hope you can persuade Bloss to hold onto her foal for another month!!!
