Hello All

I'm a keen bandage user and am looking for everyone's opinions on different brands.
I have ...

Cottage craft- pilled terribly after one wash but are now destined to be used all the time as they already look awful

Jumpers- have managed to stay looking ok but not used/washed so much so that may be why, but they do seem to be fairing well.
Legacy- these are the ones I use for competing so they don't get much wear but they have pilled a bit.
Eskadron- these are the newest ones I have but they look great and have not pilled yet after being washed (but are blooming expensive for badages!

So which do you find the best for not going bobbly and pilling? Are there any I should steer clear of?

I use eskadron very expensive but they work so well, they don't slip down, don't go bobbly, wash well and last for ages. Also I don't use them too often so only have/need the one pair so for me it is worth paying for the expensive ones. I did have some cottage craft but they used to slip down unless you did them up imo too tight.
 
I have a drawer full of anything and everything brands. I see a pretty colour so buy a full set. Not sure thats the most intellegent way though.
 
i got some eskadron ones for my horse that have the climatex material as the first part of the bandage then a nice elasticated exercise bandage as the last bit of the bandage, nice bit of padding and good support for the horses legs.

about £20 for 2 though but defo worth it as can be applied to damp legs as the climatex is like a towelling material
 
i have found jumpers to be very good
mine have gone through the washing machine, more times than i can remember, and look good as new

Inchs fleece bandages dont go bobbly and are good value.

I have the eskadron combination bandages which are really nice and wash well, but stupidly expensive

These are my favourites, I've got 4 pairs. I use them daily and think they are well worth the money.

Polo bandages or the elastic ones?

Polo bandages -

Busse - very wide and long so great for bandaging hinds, sometimes a bit thick on the front legs (G has short cannons). Wash well.

HKM - I like the width/thickness best of these. Again wash really nicely.

Eskadron - Little teensey bit narrow for my liking but wash well (except one pair that my washing machine chewed holes in) also slightly stretchier than the others.

I also have some which I think are Jumptech. I think they're a bit short and the fleece seems a bit unforgiving.
 
Tesco ones are surprisingly good- don't go bobbly and are quite long. I use them as stable bandages.

I use the Legacy ones everyday- althogu they're a bit bobbly they are my faves.

I have some Premier Equine ones, but they're my travelling set so don't get used for excercise/in the stable.
 
I should probably start a seperate thread for this but I'd like to bandage horsey's legs rather than use SMBs/WW wraps like I do just now but now sure how???

This sounds stupid but I don't want to damage her wee leggies by putting them on too tight or anything like that.

Any links to a site which explains how or can anyone write me a wee guide?
