Hi

I just started using fleece polo wraps on my boy as extra protection against knocks.

I know it seems a million miles away at the moment, but in summer what should I use? Guessing fleece wraps will be too hot. Should I switch to elasticated bandages with some sort of liner?

I find mine don't sweat under fleece. Not sure about elastic and bandage pads - never used them. They do sweat loads under neoprene boots though - hate them. You can get breathable bandages if you're worried

Just use exersise bandages they are much thinner than fleece ones and can be used without anything underneath or a very thin pad as they are very elastic and much harder to put on too tight, I have used this sort without anything underneath, whereas the fleece ones should have a pad or gamgee used with them.

pink I really think you have that the wrong way round! elastic bandages are easily put on too tight, and can do serious damage, and should always have something underneath! Polo wraps don't have to...

Wrong way round - elasticated bandages must ALWAYS have something underneath them to prevent damage to the tendons. It's fleece bandages that don't need any padding.

Maybe I have lol! I always put a pad under the fleece ones anyway for traveling, I only used the elastic ones on a horse I used to ride and she used nothing underneath them, I never put them on tight anyway.
