Exercise bandages are confusing me, some people i know use the thick fleecy polo bandages and still put some kind of padding(gangee) underneath, some people use the regular elasticated exercise bandages and dont put any padding underneath.

Surely if you have thick polo bandages they are already padded enough and dont need any padding underneath. And when you have the regualr elasticated bandages surely they need padding underneath where they are so thin.

What does everyone do when they exercise bandage their horses legs?
Need some guidance :P

I normally use thick fleecy ones with no padding, but if i do use elastic ones I put padding underneath. Bad bandaging can cause so many problems!!

I was taught that you should put padding under any bandage as it means there is a more even pressure across the whole bandaged area, and also it eliminates twisting pressure caused by the bandaged being wrapped right next to the skin. Don't know how true this is, but I use eskadron pads under all my bandages now, regardless of fleece/elastic.

I use elastic with pads
