Pup is 6 months old. She currently has 2 walks a day of around 30 mins where she is off lead. She is let out a few times a day for toilets but tends to sleep most of the day. Her walks are at 7am and somtime in the afternoon between 2 and 4 pm. Would it hurt, now the nights are lighter, to take her on a lead walk, so very steady, for 20/30 mins or so? I'm conscious of not doing too much at this young age but the evenings will soon be lovely, just right for a walk!

Once mine were about 6 months I stopped restricting excercise and did what seemed to work for them. Mine, like yours are small lightweight dogs. I think (someone will correct me if I am wrong :) ) that it is more the big dogs who mature later that it is most important to be extra careful with. I only have had one dog with joint problems and he came to me late with malnutrition, which I believe, and so does my vet is part of his joint problems. Also he is just terribly put together!

Thank you!! I can't see how a little walk in the evenings as well would hurt but grateful of other people's opinions!!
