Any had any experience of it? And what to do? I went for an intense ride today on my mare, she is not as fit as she could be - but she isn't unfit. I got off her after and there was evidence that blood had come out of her nostrils - there wasn't much and there was a fair bit of mucus as well. I walked her around for 10 minutes and washed her down and then walked her some more and she seemed ok. I have done this amount of work on her before and she has been fine, but she has never bled.
I am a bit worried - is it EIPH? How serious is it? Will this affect her in future? Is it best not to work her that hard again? Or is it a case of more time getting her fit? Poor horsie
its not like i was pushing her - she loves to go fast, and she didn't seem particularly tired after. Ooooh
