Dumb question of the day! 14,2 chunky monkey who takes a 6'9 in rugs and is built like the proverbial!! What size exercise sheet should I buy for him. Any recommendations of a make that are nice and deep would be appreciated as he has a sizeable bottom :)

Not sure how much help this will be but my chunky 14.3hh Welsh D has a 4'6 Thermatex and she has a biiig bum. There is a little bit of room at the front and the back but not an awful lot, hoping it will fit the youngster when he's grown as it's such a nice sheet! Expensive but worth it - deep but not drowning, you can also take the lining off or pull back the reflective sheeting depending on what work you're doing. So perhaps the size up for yours? And avoid ones that wrap around the horses chest - in my opinion they pull and are quite restrictive.
If you were after something cheaper though the Mark Todd ones are nice and quite generous size wise? A friend has one (though for a TB) and it seems pretty roomy.

Edited: Forgot to say - she takes 6'3 rugs!

It used to be that you measured for Quarter Sheets (the ones that folded under the saddle, and cover the loins) by taking 2' off the normal rug size. :)

Exercise sheets seem to be something completely different, much longer and deeper , more like a rug without a front, never used them, so I couldn't say about the sizing, although presumably the same, 2' less.
