Exercise rugs..

Bit of a dim question, but would the size of an exercise rug have to be the same size as that horses' usual rug size?

Eg. If horse had a turnout rug that is 6'3", the exercise rug would be 6'3" too.

I think it depends, if you want a quarter sheet then it will be smaller and I think in general they're smaller.

You usually take off 2' for exercise sheets.

so 6'6'' rug - 4'6'' sheet

6' rug - 4' sheet etc

Assuming you mean quarter sheets like Cattie said?

Hi there, when i bought my masta i had to measure from the wither to the top of his tail in inches,it fits my big boy perfectly, but not sure if all of them are done like this.

Excercise sheets should be banned - or the measurements sorted out.... I have several -none of which fit - they either fit the saddle area perfectly but are then either to short in the bum or too long or fit the bum area perfect but pull too much under the saddle.

Argghhhhh - some one make a standard we can all stick to

My girlie who is 6'3 wears a 4'9 and this fits both her gp and dressage saddle (slightly more tight on dressage but still snug)
