I'm looking to get my boy a new exercise sheet to keep him dry when riding/hacking over winter.

I'd prefer something with hi viz but some of the hi viz ones (including the one I currently have) are mad from that slippy fabric and in fact the other day my sheet managed to almost completely blow away as it had slid and moved under his saddle.

So I need something that won't move/blow about excessively but it can't be too warm as pony seems to have his own tropical climate (was out last year in -18 with a full clip and nowt but a rainsheet and was still warm!

Suggestions welcome - I'm on a bit of a budget so preferably not something that's going to break the bank!

I have the rambo navy waterproof one as on the underside there is a fleece lining but neither of mine ever got too hot in it.
I just bought the new swish equine one which may be better as I have it in bright red with a reflective strip so good for our hacking. This also has a fleece lining underneath and have yet to use it but so far really pleased with it.

Get one that is is cut to fit between the saddle flaps and then velcro together over the withers, these cannot get blown away as they are much more secure than the ones that lie under the saddle.

I have a wide assortment of hi viz rugs, some mesh ones and my waterproof one is Mark Todd which is lovely but does have a fleece lining so I only use it on cold days in winter.

The Mark Todd one is also cut so your leg lies next to the horses side rather that having a thick sheet between your leg and your horse.
