Does anyone have any suggestions of ones that work well?

I can't use a standard exercise sheet as can't fold the corners up and I don't like just using them flat with the girth loops.

I've tried my wrap around one just under the stirrup leathers (it's a rambo one) but the saddle hole ends up too small with the back edge of the whole ending up under the back panels of the saddle which I worry will cause a pressure point. I'm stuck! Any ideas?

Thankyou!

I used to use a quarter sheet attached to the stirrup keepers. Otherwise you would need a ride on type rather than a wrap around really.

Or I noticed the Rambo hi viz competition sheet has a neck part like the walker rugs so maybe that would work too.

I have never had this issue with a wrap around sheet... have always put them under the stirrup leathers. I would look into a different make or size...

if you have a wrap-around stitch a piece of elastic across the hole just in front of where the cantle of your saddle fits. This will keep the sheet in place around the back of the saddle and you can't feel it riding.

The wrap around ones are fine if I pop it on under my stirrup leathers but would need one with a large enough saddle cut out so it doesn't come under the panels at the back like my current one is doing. I see a lot of people riding with them coming under the panels at the back but surely this goes against everything we are taught of having a smooth contact point with the horse?

To be fair though my horse is paticulalry sensitive as she doesn't like it when I put our current waterproof one on! Might have to go for wool or fleece that doesn't rustle!

If anyone knows of any with a generous saddle cut out I am all ears please :)

The thermatex quarter sheets look fabulous - might be the way to go.

Could you fashion an extendy velcro gadget to use in front of the pommel with your wraparound one so it makes the saddle hole longer and clears the panels at the back? If that makes sense?

Thanks for the tips of trying others.

I've been out today and bought a Rambo Grand Prix waterproof fleece one today which fits beautifully around the saddle :) it's not the thickest but is fleece lined so will mean it will be good for the warmer wetter weather in spring too :) very pleased Thankyou
