I'm looking to get an exercise sheet for my TB - he's about 15.2 and currently very slim (just got him straight off the track) and is only just 3 so will grow a bit. Currently he's in a 6'3 rug with lots of room.

I like the Equi Theme striped exercise rugs, but wasn't sure about sizing - the options would be 5'9-6'0 (they go on normal rug sizing) or 6'3-6'9. I'm worried that the bigger size will drown him, but the smaller size won't cover his bum! Has anyone got one and can perhaps advise?

Or recommend another brand! I just like the purple of the Equi Theme rugs :-)

Thanks

My 16.1 TB is in a 6'3 rug and he has the 4'7 newmarket rambo rug. That is easily long enough so I think anything aimed at 6'3 to 6'9 would be too big.

I would think 4'6 would be about right in most makes.

Our tb is in 6'6 rugs and has a 4'11 Rambo Newmarket exercise fleece and a Rambo yellow exercise waterproof sheet that fit him perfectly, can't rate them highly enough.

My old mare has the equi theme fleece and they are very thin compared to the Rambo. She is fine in it because she is a welsh, I wouldn't have the tb in it.

I have a 15.1hh TB who has a couple of the equi-theme waterproof exercise sheets (think they are cut the same as the striped ones). His are 140 cms (I just went to check) and they also fit on my stocky 15hh CBxTB. Both are in 6'3" rugs which fit exactly (horseware, weatherbeeta, fal).

They also have a couple of Rambo sheets (think I have 4'9'') and I think this is the same for the thermatex ones. They have medium everything else (pessoa, eurostar, mark todd etc). I like exercise sheets!

I have seen this Bridleway Fleece Exercise Sheet also decent price at £19.95 http://www.aivly.co.uk/shop/products/id/105310.htm, if you looking for winter/in low visibility there is also this Weatherbeeta Reflective Exercise Sheet (Weatherbeeta usually brill!) http://www.aivly.co.uk/shop/products/id/63101.htm, or the mark todd bit pricer but also good http://www.aivly.co.uk/shop/products/id/98151.htm

These are all from the Aivly website (http://www.aivly.co.uk/shop/horse/horse-and-pony-rugs/cooler-rugs-and-fleeces/) they prob have more in store if you are local
