Exercise Sheets ...

Will a 4ft exercise sheet be too big for my 12.2hh pony? I'm getting him fully clipped soon and was advised to ride him in an exercise sheet to start with so he doesnt get too cold ... but the only sizes I can find on Robinsons-uk.com (I normally cant get anywhere to actually buy things so have to order them ..) only have 4ft and 4ft6 sheets so would like to know before I buy one if the smaller one will be too big.

It will probably be too big!

We use the 4ft ones on the TB racehorses. They fit 15.3 - 16.2 quite well, although the racehorse tradition is to have them 'just' on the bum as opposed to draping over.

I know some manufacturers will do Pony / Cob / Full - so you may be better off going somewhere else...?

ahh okay .. the racers where I work where sheets too but I didn't know what size they were but I guess they will be the 4ft ones too. I just had another look and Robinsons have one in small, medium etc ... so I reckon a small one should fit him? Does anyone know how big they are?

I find if you take 2 ft off your horse's rug size you often find their exercise sheet size.
Henry is a 6ft6 and his exercise sheet is 4ft6.

okay, Teds a 5ft in rugs so he would be a 3ft in exercise sheet ... so yeah 4ft would be too big
