Please can people recommend a nice HW exercise sheet that doesn't rustle (So fleece or wool) or flap up too much if possible! Pony has had to have most of her hind quarters/back clipped on one side due to rain scald/bacterial infection and may possibly be having more taken off so would need something to keep her covered and dry on cold days however she is scared of rustly noises (even coats!) so not the waterproof type ones.
I like the look of the Rambo fleece, as it's very heavy, are the Mark Todd ones as heavy?
Also, bearing in mind she is already trace clipped and now has most of her bum on one side, would it be silly to take it all off/hunter clip to make it look less awful or would that be mean considering she is only ridden 2/3 times a week (no school and work full time)? Other benefit being it would show any new patches easier and may help her lose some podge....

She may be ok if quite a thick rustly material!

Would need to be easy to wash, again due to her infection

Definately easy to wash

. I don't know how hot they can be washed though.

They certainly lie down well enough; haven't noticed any flapping about, other than when BC's fillet string came off and it was a very windy day.

I have a Rambo Newmarket stripe one which I love. It is one of the competition ones, so wraps round the saddle, is easyto put on, thick and looks great

Thanks all! I do like the look of the Rambo Newmarket stripe one and they feel lovely, I did wonder if they are thicker than the MT which they sound like they are. May look a tad silly on a 13.3hh Welsh X but her in her mind she's a TB!

The Thermatex ones are excellent - either waterproof covered or just the thermatex material - and really stay in place...

Got to be the Newmarket Stripe (Witney) ones everytime.

I have 4 of them! Collected them over the years!!!

Always handy to have that many as put on a delicate wash and then dry in my rug drying room. They do take a couple of days to dry so maybe worth having a couple at the least.

They are very warm and do not rustle and do not move! My FEI pony 'hates' the rustly noise I can't even wear a waterproof jacket-sends him into 'I am going to be eaten by the rustle noise monster'

Rhinegold do a cheaper version of the Witney and Rambo-if you are on a budget.
