What are all our faves? I'm planning to invest in one, as this week we're taking the plunge for a full clip! Waterproof is ideal but the fleece ones look really warm.. so which ones do you all like? Completely new to me I'm afraid :D xx

Get someone to make one!

I find it impossible to get one off the shelf that fit properly so my friends mum measured Mr P up and made us an amazing one!

I saw a gorgues one in a mag a few months ago but cant find it anywhere for sale online. It was a fleecey rainbow striped one! :)
Quite like the newmarked ones too!

Me too! first clip for my girl will be a full, then a chaser for her next one .
Will save me the awful moult in spring :p plus she is being worked.

Since she should be wearing a treeless saddle i need a hi viz quarter sheet! but can't find :(

I have a bit of a fetish for exercise sheets - I make them as well as buy them.

My fav is my chocolate striped rambo one, but I made a fabulous one out polar fleece that is a gorgeous crimson colour.

Also have a high viz, blue waffle one with reflective thread in it, and a plain blue one.

hmm - i'm thinking we'll need at least two more so we can have one for each day of the week :D

I have a Thermatex one :) Fleece, waterproof and reflective. It was an absolute bargain at 40 pounds from the local tack shop which also sells second hand stuff. Though I think it would have bee quite a lot new. Though if you have a decent sum of money to spend then I would recommend it greatly!
Oh, I found it:

I have a thermatex one and I LOVE it!! I also have just a thin no fill hi-viz one that I use over the top of my thermatex when its raining. I love the old fashioned wool ones though

Mark todd- waterproof, has reflective strips and fleece lined. Also has a cut away bit so that you can get your leg on the horse and goes round the saddle so can help keep the saddle dry too!

Competition sheet - I LOVE my Equisafety one! Great at keeping the horse dry, and sooooo bright (comes in hi-viz pink or yellow, with reflective bits back and sides loops for attaching lights and a detachable bit at the front for extra hi-viz)!! They also now do them in the 'POLITE' range. Not cheap, but worth it.

For a quarter sheet, I'd recommend V-bandz' one, also very good.

Rambo newmarket competition/wrap around exercise sheet.

^ This one in the gold stripe. :D It's fleece, but we've been causght in some pretty decent rain (the joy of living in Wales ;) ) and she's always been totally dry under it. It's pretty bright and eyecatching too, although I always wear some proper hi-viz too.

oooh thank you all! Love the stripey and Newmarket ones especially - will make me feel like a jockey ;) :D I saw the Mark Todd one and thought it looked fab, but wasn't as keen as I thought it was just an ultra-thin rain sheet! Seeing as it has fleece lining I might get it along with a bright stripey one :D One for hacking and one for schooling indoors? Oh dear, my rug addiction is getting unmanageable once again! The list is ever-growing it appears  :p xx

I am going to order the green stripe one for my chestnut once he clipped. They are good value. Have a waterproof flourescent one with fleece lining for hacking. Off ebay and a bargain. Always get the ones that fasten on the withers as easier to whip off rather than go under saddle.

Loving all of these...time for some shopping!

Can anyone tell me how the sizes work? My boy takes a 6'6" rug...what size would he need?

I have the chocolate brown Newmarket style one, and a purple, grey & white stripey HV Polo one.

I want a bright pink/cerise one...debating making one.

I have the rambo waterproof competiton sheets, bought going cheap in a sale a couple of years ago they were an absolute godsend last December in the subzero temperatures and mega windchill numbers. Fleece on the inside, waterproof (and windproof) on the outside. It really made a big difference to him, the rambo waterproof trousers for humans weren't quite so good, as I got chilblains :(
