Im thinking about forking out for a Thermatex exercise sheet.. I am just wondering if they are worth the money or is there anything better on the market. I live in cold North East Scotland right on the coast so it usually wet, windy and cold... any recommendations welcome :)

I have the rambo fleece wrap round rug it's great for really cold days, I don't really use rain sheets mine tend to sweat under them and I try not to ride in the rain!

I forgot I do have a thermatex one but it's not a wrap round it goes under the saddle and it's very thick so I tend to only use it when it's really cold.

I've just bought a thermatex quarter sheet but not had to use it yet. I've also got a fleece high viz one that I use all the time and in wet weather have a tacky orange masta one that is like a whole no fill turnout rug but with a hole cut out. It looks awful but is brilliant as it shows up well in the gloom and keeps the entire horse dry including shoulders, perfect for hacking on a miserable day when your horse would otherwise get soaked and then rugged up. And it never rubs shoulders as the saddle stops it pulling back. Really happy with it!

I second the suggestion of wool newmarket witney ones. I have three (:o), they were all second hand, the most expensive was £20 and looked brand new. Two are gold stripe ones and the third is blue, black and red.
