I love these however why don't they do a fluorescent piping/flashes and fabric, I wonder? I use exercise sheets mostly for hacking and the reflective and hi viz properties are the most important bit (after it fitting and keeping horse dry obviously!) For that purpose they have cut their customer base in half :(

You should contact them and put the idea to them.

Random post hijack, is there anywhere that still sells the old style, goes under saddle ones? Modern wrap-around and western saddles are not a great mix. I do have a banana yellow, mildly waterproof, under saddle one, from around the millennium but something fleece would be nice.

I have a Horsemasters hi viz exercise sheet, £32.99. Incredibly good value, really tough material very hi viz and quite waterproof.
Goes on like a rug with a cut out for the saddle. Dunno how to do links but is stocked by Urnston.

Thermatex do, that's their classic exercise sheet, they call the wraparound ones Trainer rugs. Very expensive though you can pick them up second hand or try in the seconds sale.

I use the thermatex for warming up out competing and it’s great. Husband has the the finer equine one high viz in summer weight which is also good, I particularly like the big tail flap but he does find the bit that goes over saddle quite thick.

The best one I have is a thermatex high viz that you can unzip (while onboard) and roll back the waterproof highviz part and then it’s the original thermatex underneath. I use this one for schooling and hacking, I live in a very windy spot and because of the weight of the thermatex, it doesn’t blow around. I bought it second hand from someone who had bought it in the seconds sale so was cheaper but I would say it’s worth full price even though it’s steep! Not sure why but the high viz has stayed much bright vs. The finer equine though that might be because I hang it up after use vs. Husband who comes back and just dumps it on the mucky floor!
