Looking for recommends for best exercise sheets both reflective and non reflective. Looking for one that actually covers the back end and doesn't come up short! I love the look of the Equi dry ones but worry she will get too hot with the fleece lining.

Also if reflective - not sure the best colour! She's basically chestnut at the moment/palomino when clipped!

I have a Rambo newmarket exercise sheet that I have found brilliant but if you're worried about getting too hot with a fleece lining it would probably be too warm as it's a really thick fleece.

I've got an equisafety net one - so more summer weight but light enough to fling over a thermatex on a cold day. It's pink & yellow with a decent tail flap and I find the multi colours stands out well

Not waterproof though but I'm sure they have some that are.

I have an equisafety waterproof one, its not fleece lined but has a 50g fill so might be too warm

A friend has recently bought a HY one which is waterproof but not warm and looks nice so that might be an option to consider

VBandz are another good brand to look at and they do the two tone options too

I like equisafety but they are soooooo expensive! I've just been looking at the Weatherbeeta exercise sheets which look quite nice. I'm definatley thinking of maybe changing up my colours and going multicoloured to stand out more.

I have an Equisafety wraparound one. The only problem with it is that it's really light but waterproof so the wind gets under it but can't travel through it and it flaps about all the time. It's the one thing Wiggy's not keen on so I can't use it on even slightly windy days. A few of the girls at the yard have mesh ones and the wind seems to go through those so they don't flap. The best one though is a Premier Equine one my friend has, it's quite structured and heavy so it doesn't really move once it's on. The only issue is that is it doesn't come in hi-viz colours. Hers is turquoise so it's a bit colourful but not really bright. I think they do an orange one too but again, it's not a hi-viz orange.

I have a Thermatex quarter sheet and a Rambo Newmarket one. Love both but definitely more warming. I also have a yellow fleece lined one for rain, so old I don't remember the brand.

I prefer pink or orange for standing out though, the yellow is more likely to blend into hedgerows at certain times of the year.

For reflective purposes I use a Parsons Rump as I found very lightweight sheets too flappy and the mesh ones snagged on twigs and brambles. I can use it on its own or over a sheet.

I have 3 - I got a Prosew one made to my design in waterproof high viz orange. I wanted fleece lined but shaped so would go under a monoflap. I have a quarter sheet from Wetherbeeta which I quite like and is for competing and a traditional square one which goes under the saddle. All 600 denier with fleece lining.

Prosew will make you what you want for a fair price and cotton or fleece lined. Also do mesh.

I have a bright orange thermatex quarter sheet which is fab. Great in cold and wind. Not really waterproof though (does keep him dry on fizzle or a short shower). The orange looks good on a palomino.

My other one is an Amigo quarter sheet. Waterproof with a light fleece lining and reflective strips. Doesn’t move in the rain or wind. But base colour is brown - fine for warming up at comps, but the orange is generally more visible.

I have a over 20 year old Masta waterproof sheet. is navy with reflective strips at the back edge.
It's lining is very thin fleece and I like the way it is made to wrap snuggly around the hindquarters rather than float around.
I've used it on unclipped natives and they never got hot under it.

I have the amigo waterproof sheet for wet rides. It's years old but still looks brand new. Very happy with it and great fit on my connie

Edited to add photo: please excuse the fact it looks like I’m about to go and tarmac the M5, it was a VERY wet day 🤣

I was unsure about splashing out on a Thermatex sheet but everyone on here told me too! I actually found a brand new one on Ebay, admittedly a colour I'd not have chosen but it was £50 and is lovely.
I also have a Finer Equine summer weight but waterproof, It has a lovely thick saddle cover inbuilt. Expensive but very nice.

I have an old but brilliant Masta Hi Viz exercise sheet for hacking and have recently bought a Horseware waterproof fleece one in burgundy for schooling and warming up at shows. i thought it would only be shower proof but it withstood the rain from earlier this week!

I have a Mark Todd waterproof fluorescent exercise sheet which has a bit of weight to it but my boy doesn’t get too hot in it and he is fully clipped. We also have a Horseware Newmarket fleecey striped one that I use on really bright but chilly days.

I’ve got a good one from premier equine. It’s warm without being too warm and is waterproof. It’s bright baby blue and has reflective strips. Doesn’t look like they do it anymore

I have a few 🤭

I usually use the Amigo sheet that multiple people have mentioned because it can be used for everything; soft shell exterior for windy and/or rainy days, wraps around to give my legs a cozy feel if I didn't wear a long coat and/or warm pants, light fleece lining that isn't too warm even for my unclipped TB, and reflective strips on the bum. I've always wanted to get the Back on Track version of this (soft shell exterior) but the sizing was always all over the place so I gave up. I also have a wraparound sheet that is just polar fleece; I got it as a gift when I was young so it has a lot of sentimental value but it's also super cozy! Better for drier days that are cold and not so windy because it's quite light so it will billow with a breeze. In the spring I got the Weatherbeeta thermocell kidney rug when it was on sale and love it.

For added safety, I also throw a thin mesh wraparound sheet that is hi-viz and reflective on top of these sheets in the winter and use that sheet alone in the summertime!

I got the Kentucky reflective one for cmas and it is fab! Does come up a little big but stays put and doesn’t flap around.

I love my Rambo Newmarket wrap round fleece ones if you wash them with alot of fabric conditioner it waterproofs them a bit they are so thick anyway, I have been caught in rain and its never soaked though and I prefer them to the really waterproof ones as Arabi is not keen on them they turn him into rocket pony 😆

I've got the Shires Equi-Flector - its fleece lined and waterproof. I got it in yellow, not sure if they do orange, fits really nicely.

I have options for every occasion;
Hi viz mesh sheet, wool quarter sheet, unlined waterproof hi viz quarter sheet….so if it’s freezing and wet, I use the waterproof over the top of the blanket.

I’ve always fined fur- lined hi viz sheets way too hot for most conditions.
