My boy has always gone nicely in the school all of a sudden he is working on his forehand and pulling down on the bit and leaning hes never done this before. Ive tried a few different exercises to get him working through his back more etc but they arent helping any ideas please?
 
pole work - will getting him stepping through from behind a bit more therefore using his hindquarters. Raised poles, 3 poles, 5 poles, flat poles, etc....even a few small jumps (don't know what he's up to? if he's not yet jumping - then at least pole work is a good start to when you want to do this...)
lots of transitions - upward and downwards - but make them forward and active...


don't forget to try it for a few weeks before you decide if its working so you can see the benefit of the fitness work...
