I,m trying to organise my day better. But where my horse is stabled they have limited turnout time.... It's suppose to be 8am until 12 (more like 11). Sometimes (never know when until it happens) they can stay out until 2ish.

The thing is I like to exercise him in the morning, when I try to do it in the afternoon I tend to run out of time and he doesn't get done. But then if I do him in the morning I feel guilty because he wouldn't get out until past 10.

So was just wondering what you think is more important..

In my life, the horses always come first, so if the convenience of me riding took up so much of their little turnout time, I would ensure that my day was structured so that they got all of their precious TO, and ride in the afternoons - also breaks their day up more.

Actually, I would be moving yards - IMO, TO is very important, and I wouldn't have mine with such limited TO.

Turnout is more important to the horse than riding. Riding is more important to the rider than turnout.

With limited turnout time you should really try very hard to be organised enough to ride in the afternoon, then you will both be happy :)

Turnout is so important for many reasons, physical and mental. If at all possible it should be maximised.

I think it depends on your horse at the moment my horse is stood at the field gate waiting to be brought in hes been out since 9.30 and hes had enough granted the weather isnt wonderful but as soon as i can ill be going to get him on the other hand he likes to be ridden first thing in the morning and wont settle untill hes been exercised he is slightly strange but thats him
