Downwards Transitions?

My girl is great on her upwards transitions but is very resistant in her downward transitions at the moment (she's feeling very well in herself!). Anyone know any exercises to make them listen more in downward transitions? Thanks!!

Focus on your preparation your body weight, suppleness and acceptance, practice taking longer to prepare for transitions but keeping the pace you're in consistant, make sure trot to walk , that the trot doesn't change when you go sitting if it does rise again and re-prepare. works for me as it takes the pressure off the horse if i put the enphasis on myself, also helps prevent anticipation.

yeah, maybe while i'm trying to get her more obedient i'll sit for longer. I do use my body to slow her down as I don't like to haul on the reins & definitely won't resort to a stronger bit. There's no worry of anticipation especially from trot to walk!! hehe

I got someone to video me riding the transitions - seeing how bad I looked helped loads and we improved
