My little horse is now on grass livery (moved from working livery!) so that means no more randoms riding him anymore

However he's picked up this habit of falling in...sticking his nose to the outside and just generally avoiding working 'correctly'. Now normally I find it easy enough to keep him working correctly on the right rein (my right leg is stronger than my left). Also my scoliosis (curvature of the spine) means I'm stiffer to the left so obviously this is part of the problem!

Anyway basically I'm hoping that some of you may be able to give me some ideas on exercises I can do to get him to become more supple and also to lift his forehand (he can become quite heavy in my hands)? Any ideas on strengthening my left leg also appreciated!

Thanks

Shoulder in on a circle is fab for getting them to take their weight back onto their quaters.

I also use an exercise that is based on a 15m circle somewhere in the middle of the school, then add a 10m circle to the top and bottom going to the outside, changing the flex.

Also when working in, do lots of changes of bend, as you take up each new bend, do a couple of strides of leg yeild into the new flex.
