The Exo body cage some questions.......

Has anyone had a rotational fall and been protected by it?

Why do top event riders seam to chose other brands?

How do they affect riders mobitity in the saddle, they look bulky, are they?

I thought it was comfy when i tried one, its heavy but once on and in place its not heavy at all.
My problem is im short in my back and all the ones they make are too long and hit the back of the saddle.
Other problems ppl have found is that they are restricted in their neck (cannot turn their head properly).

There was a video of a girl who wore one she had a rotation fall at MKEC over the big trakhener, horse rolled on her, she got up fine from this.

Kitty i dont think liked wearing hers.... although she wore it for a time.

I heard that one of the concerns is that in the event of a fall they aren't easy for medical personnel to remove apparently.

I have one and i love it, It was expensive but i think worth every penny Ive come off a few times in mine and havnt injured myself half as much as i would have had i not been wearing it. My horse even kicked me in the back last time i came off and i didnt even feel it. inside it theres a special key and flap which says open in emergancy but ive never had to use it (luckily)so dont know how easy/hard it is)
It feels heavy to begin with but you get used to it and it gives you (well it has me) more confidence to do bigger stuff

I WANT to get one but apparently they are having problems manufacturing the shell in some of the sizes....so I can't get one

hey, i ride in one and they are brilliant, i think u should do everything u can to protect yourself from injury, they have been tested to prevent fatal crush injuries that happen from rotational falls, they are expensive, but ultimately can u put a price on something that could save your life? i would definately strongly them recommend to anyone. they are different from other back protectors but once u are used to it u wont look back! i promise
