I saw in your horse the new NS tongue smart bits at £225 each, and was wondering why are they so much more expensive than their others bits, are they made of gold, did they need to employ an expensive genius to create them?

Are these more expensive bitsreally so much better than their normal ones?

My horse has a loose ring NS bit with a lozenge. He seems to prefer his £6.50 ebay bit. People with horses with sensitive mouths might think that it is worth the investment - if they used the bit for 1000 days over the next 3 years= £0.23 a day.

Depends how important a subtle difference could be - if you're competing and getting higher scores then well worth it! Bit banks are good if you want to give them a try, wouldn't buy one without trying unless it was a cheap eBay job!

But what I can't understand is why these bits are so more expensive than the rest of their range?
