Experiences of BCG injections?

I have been suspicious about a lesion near the corner of one of my lad's eyes that has appeared since the spring. I asked the vet to look at and they are suggested BCG injection as suspect sarcoid and have taken photos of it to send to Liverpool.

One of mine had a course of these for periocular nodular sarcoids. Very successful, with no problems. Sarcoids have not returned.

Thank you and please to hear that it went well with your horse. Just the vet made a bit of a thing about the possibility of an several allergic reaction

Bumping in case anyone else has any experiences

Also, am I best to do now or wait if the is not that much change in the nodule till later in the year once less flies?

Have been following the other sarcoid/toothpaste thread with interest but not keen to apply that so near the eye!

I saw a horse with a sarcoid on the eyelid treated with BCG vaccine a few years ago. The treatment made a significant difference to the size of the lesion, it reduced in size considerably. The horse was moved out of the area shortly after the treatment, so I cannot comment on whether the sarcoid was resolved or not.
