Experiences of claiming with Pet Plan

they paid out several thousand for my TB in the space of two years - I think they paid out about £13k with no problem at all. However my youngster got a mild bout of colic when some children who were staying in a caravan on the farm gave her feed over the fence in the field and it was some farm animal feed. I didn't claim, as it wasn't expensive - just one vets visit and some buscopan but I disclosed it when the insurance came up for renewal. They immediately put an exclusion on it saying that they won't remove it until 12 months later and only if my vet does me a letter saying there has been no repeat colic. It has come up for renewal again and I am getting a letter from my vet. If they refuse to remove the exclusion I will be cancelling my policy and changing to another company. I have already spoken to other companies who have agreed that with a letter from my vet, the exclusion will be removed.

Really rate them, I've claimed thousands for my horse over the years & they're always paid out without any fuss or quibbling. Won't hesitate to use them when I've got another horse. Also use them for my dogs & although I've not claimed nearly as much as for the horse they've always been easy to deal with.
