I will confess now that I have stolen this from another forum, however there arent many views on it over there.

So Im interested to see what you guys think of this??
Or if you have any experience be it good or bad?

Im not really sure what to think about it, in theory I can kind of make sense of it, but I cant make out whether its the correct way to do it or not!
(I've managed to confuse myself quite royally, please explain :) )

Just watched it from your link - goodness me he has a very confusing way of describing things!
The way she was riding leg yield isn't how I would. Although (assuming leg yield to the right) I also would ride left leg to right hand, my right hand is supporting rather than opening to offer bend. I would have the horse bent the other way so is leg yielding to the right, I would have a tiny bit of left bend so the horse leads through the shoulder and quarters, not the head and neck. That said, we are working up to prelim and novice so I await someone far more knowledgeable!
All in all though I am v glad my instructor doesn't explain things like that. I think we would still be working out how to mount if he explained things in such a confusing manner!

the rider needs to shorten her reins about three inches then she wouldnt have her hands on her tummy
do not understand at all how or what he is explaining he possibly would be a good teacher if he would talk less cryptically, what i would do is for say a left half pass, set the horse up so that the left shoulder is up have slight left flextion but not so much that the horse than blocks some movement from its left fore leg, and just ride the right side to the left with some outside rein to control the amount and size of the angle
