Express Eventing

Does anyone know if they will be holding another event at Cardiff's Millenium Stadium again this Year?.

I know there was alot of debating by spectators over whether it was a good idea, due to the fact you could see ""too much"" after the tragic accident to Mary's horse,

I haven't seen it advertised anywhere so I would assume they aren't running it this year!

I think the fact that they saw "too much" is a ridiculous thing to debate. They could go and watch ANY normal XC and see the same thing. I think the event just needs a bit of tweaking as too many riders getting lost round the course etc. last year!

I haven't heard anything about it and a whole load went from the yard where i work.

I hope they do as with a few tweaks here and there it could be a fantastic event...Just a shame Cardiff is so faraway from me...

I think it is to be held at the new competition replacing the old Royal show at Stonleigh next year. With not so much prize money, also is a smaller easier to get to venue.

Oh that would be a shame, I only get to go to Badminton and Gatcoombe so to have something in Cardiff was ideal for me.
The millenium stadium is very easy to get to by train (its right next to it)

Parking was a nightmare though nobody seemed to know where to direct us to park so ended up missing some of dressage.

It did have so much potential so it would be a shame if they done try again at some point, with as others have said, with some tweaks. And for example not timing the change over, seemed a bit silly that. Millenium staduim is a fantastic venue and probs the most easilly acceibly venue in the country but perhaps not the day after a wales international match! No wonder the ground was slippy!
