Extendable hosepipe for yard

As above.
I have a shoulder injury and now its muddy need a long heavy duty but pref lightweight and extendable hose to do field waters.
Is there such a thing and any recommendations pls

How long? Stretchy hose goes to about 120ft (advertised length is more but I can never achieve it). Other than that flat hose on a roll is probably your best bet. Or you can get a hose on wheels if they will go through the mud.

I have 2 expandable ones and they are rubbish hardly any water comes out of them so takes ages to fill up it's fine if you have the time to hang around waiting.

My 2 were not particularly expensive but most people I speak to say the same thing about them.

Do you need a hose you reel in each time? We lay out our hose to the furthest winter fields and just leave them in place all winter. We just clip the end of the hose on/off the tap as and when we want to fill water troughs.

We had a Hozelock extendable one, it was fabulous! I was amazed every time it folded itself away when we had finished. Fitted in a little box, kept indoors so it never froze.

Had it for months until the horse trod on it one time too many.

Bought a cheaper one - that was awful! Gave the water a nasty smell.

we got the hozelock version of this (similar to the X hose) it is brilliant to use, wonderful jet of water and very light. HOWEVER OH is permanently employed repairing it everytime it splits. We have more jubilee clips than hose ATM. We have a 2nd identical hose and that has also starting splitting. Again no horses near it and it has not been abused but carefully replaced on it's large reel after every use.

Does anyone know of a heavy duty version of this? I thought hozelock were a reasonable make but obviously not.

We got one of these. It wasn't a bad hose but it did restrict the flow of water and made it insufficient to hose the yard with any water pressure and this was on a high pressure supply. We viewed the inside of it and the recoil appeared to be the thing causing the restriction. Contacted hoselock and they advised that we were correct but there was no way it could be adjusted to give a full flow of water so it was returned.

We have this sort of system. We just click on a few connections. No carrying and no problems.

Thx all , I had seen the ones mentioned but sounds like they are not sturdy.
Will look at the hozelock on a wheel as that could work

It really is worth investing in an expensive one that is guaranteed for a long time against frost etc and being anti kink. We have one, have had it for years and not a kink or a split, nothing, despite it getting stepped on by shod horses from time to time. Ours is on a wheel and we made a bracket to go on the wall so that reeling it up is easier on the back than winding it in on the ground. Can't remember the make now, was so long ago but worth a google and the outlay.

We have multiple lengths of hose joined together to get to our furthest field. Have it organised so that it can be disconnected where vehicles need to cross it. Only problem is that it often blows apart.

Have you thought about rigging up a gutter to collect water, so you don't need to fill so often? Just fixing one along the fence line will make a huge difference. Otherwise definitely get the best you can afford. The cheap ones really are crap and will kink/crack/burst away from the fixings.

This - the Hozelock one is brilliant, the cheaper ones are rubbish. You do need to drain the water out every time and put them away though, they don't seem to do that well left about and definitely not left full of water so expanded.
