Does anyone know which manufacturers really are true to their word when they say Extra Full - do they REALLY mean Extra Full or do they mean just slightly bigger than Full?????

I thought I would treat my boy to a new bridle as we've not done a lot for 12 months and I bought an FSS Comfort Bridle off E-bay which 'claimed' to be Extra Full but doesn't go anywhere near his gigantic head!! It's a beautiful bridle, just too small.

I've done a bit of googling and Jeffries seem to come up on the large side - is this still the case? I don't want to spend a fortune (max £100) as we only pootle round the village a couple of times a week.

Any help would be appreciated.

I have a heritage english leather comfort bridle in an extra full for my big warmblood i had him in the same bridle but a full at first, the extra full is considerably bigger so much so i need to downsize and mix and match i think! Shame cuz its a lovely bridle!!! :)

This ^^^ when i had a big (17.3+) chunky warmblood on loan i got a Heritage comfort bridle from ebay, fitted him and was a relatively nice bridle for the price!

I had the same problem- I got an extra full comfort bridle from Evison Equine for around £80, its lovely leather and fits him well, they will mix and match parts too if needs be as I found the extra full browband to be too big on my boy.

My horse has a XF head (= huge) and I could not find a bridle for him, I tried all different makes (stubben, etc) so in the end I took the measurements I needed and went to a large tackshop with lots and lots of makes, after an afternoon of measuring all the different XF bridles the Kieffer XF came out considerably bigger than any other XF, it fits my boy briliantly :-)
