An old problem has reared its ugly head, horse having problems getting up and scraping skin off hock. He did this a couple of years ago when stabled overnight but I put down rubber matting problem solved. However, he is now doing it in the field. Have tried hock boots, but largest ones I could get too small and he split them first time on!. Tried Vet wrap and travel boots and various other things. The best thing I have found at the mo is tubi grip. But it starts to roll down and I am trying to get something to stick it to horses skin. Tried stretchy elastoplast stuff, insulating tape, duct tape etc. Soon as I turn round tape unsticking. So any one got any ideas ? Other thing I thought was may be something like a surgical stocking (obviously foot cut out!) or those stockings you get on planes for DVT. BUT where can I get them, Boots and other chemists locally dont seem to have anything.
