Well ,if i ever set eyes on her she will get the same treatment.
And the person just standing watching too...
Poor horse and i bet it got this every day. what about all the others she will now be torturing in the same manor..?!!
what a bully.
This was just awful to watch - Vile women, horrid horrid and so disturbing.
Though, I don't get it, can someone please explain.... What is she trying to achieve with this...??? What was the outcome supposed to be?? As sick and twisted as this was (of course I could not understand what they had talked about) what was she trying to do and how come they filmed her or was able to, is this normal practice somewhere...???
What a freak. Surely she can never sell a horse (assuming she produces her own, can't see people letting her train theirs) for any worth after she's ruined them. There is no other outcome that training could have?! How to destroy a brilliant horse in ten mins flat. She must have a) serious mental issues and b) not a spec of intelligence to do that.
OMFG> that is so sad - i wonder how that horse is going to get on in it's later life, i bet it will be a mental case - can't see what she is trying to achieve at all. what a f@@@@ing cow... it brings a tear to my eye. only hope horse goes to a really really good home
But until the face of dressage changes and submission to the point of ludicousy is abolished, this will go on at varying degrees. I doubt you'd see much worse than this though!
It would be great to hear a German translation of the clip.
I just cannot imagine what the woman had to say in defence of her behaviour. Those wounds on the horse were awful. How can anyone justify that?
According to the German mag. St Georg, this woman had a GP horse who had to be put down as it contracted stress laminitis, probably from the trauma of being beaten and living in a state of terror. I hope they throw away the key.
St George reveals:Christine W is at it again!
Shocking pictures confirm further acts of animal cruelty.
Shocking video footage with brutal scenes of abuse shocked viewers on several TV channel yesterday. The dressage rider Christine W who has already been convicted by German authorities for her cruel training methods and been served with a ban on handling horses (which is however not yet in force), continues to beat her horses in a stable in Denmark close to the German border. St Georg managed to locate Christine W there. Together with the film production company "Hamburg on Air" a hidden camera was installed that captured footage of the torture. Sessions take place 5 days a week for between 30-40 minutes at a time. During this time blows rain down on the horses. In one of these training sessions just one horse had to endure 470 blows in a period of 32.5 minutes. As can be seen in the video, Christine W sometimes even turns the lunge whip over to hit the horse with the handle.
The images are even worse than those that horse lovers from Hamburg secretly recorded and forwarded on to St Georg in 2007.
The torture wasn't without consequence: The horses showed a multitude of injuries. They are not (even) the worst, reveals Christine Becker from Borstel Hohenraden, the vet who viewed the footage.More concerning are the multitude of hematomas and swellings (found on the horses).
Meanwhile "Dyrenes Beskyttelse" ,with 75 000 members one of the largest animal wellfare societies in Denmark has become officially involved. The regional manager Ole Caspersen has inspected the horses, measured the wounds with a ruler and taken pictures.
The chestnut mare "Wolke" was injured the worst.Again and again Caspersen, who is also a vet, walked around the mare looking in disbelief at the scars which were left from the whip. The horse has large swellings on her stomach and flanks from the continuous and heavy use of spurs. However he has little hope that the Danish Police will do anything to stop Christine W actions. The police in Denmark are a little more lenient than in other countries, he told reporters from "Hamburg on Air".
Christine W is due to justify her actions to a court in Kiel on November 18th. The state jury will present the footage (of the cruelty). Will it finally be possible to put a stop to this?

suprise suprise, yep through the key away! has this woman really come over to this country to train horses? dear god!
Well if there is one good thing that can come out of this, then I hope this video and everyones comments has a real impact on anyone else out there that trains horses using similar cruel methods etc and makes them think twice.
I just watched this video and am sickened but as I sat there watching it I suddenly thought my god! That is what they must have done to Diva in Germany.
She has scarring on her mouth in virtually an identical place to that poor chestnut, the way she she tries to hyperflex we are convinced she had been tied down. Having seen it in action I am convinced that is what they must have done to her.
As a result of the scarring she has developed a sarcoid which was removed in the summer.
She was very difficult to lunge when I first bought her but we have perservered and she is much better but if worried she has a tendancy to buck and kick out at you in an attempt to p1ss off.
We have introduced in-handwork and it took a long time as she was terrfied of the whip.
Her first reaction is to stand-up with her chin on her chest almost identical to the horse that was rearing undersaddle.
Diva is a lovely mare with super paces and very good breeding and I think that they saw her and decided she had serious potential and so rushed her using similar methods.
Diva is still lovely but it has taken nearly two years to strip everything back and rebuild her using correct training methods.
Who knows how good she might have been if we had got her first?
God only knows, I think your best off not thinking about it, at least you horse is with you now and she's in good hands and if anything like that did happen, well in the past and hopefully well out of her mind, why anyone would want a horse to perform such unnatural movements using such terrible methods I will never ever understand...its a cruel world out there and its such a shame that its connected to a sport/passtime we all love.
nearly 500 lashings is beyond imagine.
even the romans werent as harsh as that
poor horse wouldnt have had a CLUE what she wanted him to do-even we dont!
It is totally disgusting but I meet someone similar here and they were oblivious what pain they inflicted on the poor 3 year olds that they broke in in tight draw reins. Said they'd been trained to do it at a famous dressage producer. I've never put tight side reins or used draw reins on T, he goes in an outline because he is moving true from behind not because I have forced him. I digress the woman in the video deserves a lashing herself.
Having a bad couple of weeks and could only stomach a few seconds. I did the H&H poll this week and said I was an animal person, mainly because cruelty and sadism are human qualities. Agree that this isn't training but punishment and its beyond me how anyone could do it.
Don't know anything about German law but surely this must be animal cruelty in the legal sense. Only positive thing is that she's been outed.
And yes, I have heard horror stories from professional grooms in the dressage world.
