Gosh that is one gorgeous horse! Well done, sometimes they do learn so much and its not like you are completely mad is it.....................................
I like Smartie a lot. I think she should really be a keeper?!
Have to say you all hid the copious amounts of alcohol consumption very well. Each time I spoke to KatB there were definitely no slurred words (well no more than usual) and very little riotous heckling in the background.
GB - could you just please advise why your report concentrates at least as much on the social side of Burgie as the Equine side, whereas Kerilli's is much more horsey (read 'professional') focused. Is this evidence of where the real commitment is I wonder.....?

haha, no just proves what a horsey bore i am! i didn't even go to the party, got an early night because i knew how horribly long Sunday was going to be... as it was, a 23 hour day, with the last 11 driving, wasn't exactly great. boring and responsible old cow here. *sigh* they had enough fun for 10 though, i think!
TD, i totally agree about Ruth, i've never seen her ride like that, the doctor should be questioned, if he was her friend he was put in an untenable situation. but she really shouldn't have been allowed to ride while in such pain, i felt so so sad for her, the horse looked magnificent and i'm sure if she'd been reasonably okay they'd have won.
btw, my ex broke ribs while skiing and could barely even breathe or walk for days... sjing is too much of an ask in that kind of pain.
Reading your report I really wish I'd taken my youngster now, I was desperate to try the taster - your obviously a big bit braver than me! Bloody well done, Smartie is beautiful.
QR: I will find £5k from somewhere and give you that for her. That's got to be a pretty good profit hasn't it? If you don't fancy that get shot of Carthorse (pref to someone who "needs" you to hunt him regularly), and keep her, she looks a proper horse! Bet the chase was excellent for her.

I'd enter a bidding war, if only it weren't for the fact that, given how long GB's legs are, she's clearly about 18hh
GB - well done, not least for riding whilst hungover! Smartie looks like such a trouper for just getting on with it, and the xc will no doubt come on very quickly. Can't believe how sunny Burgie was, it does make quite a difference
