eye and nose discharge

I have a 15.2 belgium warmblood mare who is about 15yrs old. Since we got her we realised when she drunk, sum water came out of her nose. Havent really noticed much lately but also since we got her her eyes constantly weep. Is that a sign of a blocked tear duct, if so could n e thing be done about it. Thanx vicky

My horse also does this and has weepy eyes at times and can be snotty. He has a cleft palate which was undetected until he developed pnuemonia and had an endoscopy. If water comes out of her nose when she drinks then IMO its something for a vet to investigate as with the eyes because eyes nose throets are all linked. I hope its not the same as my horse and she gets better.
