Hi everyone I am new to this fourm. I decided to join so I can ask the this question. My horse has some eye Discharge I don’t think it looks normal I think it could be a eye infection . I not certain though I can’t find any images to compare it to on google. So what do you think it is.

It could be anything but I would always get the vet for a possible eye problem, you can't afford to leave eyes in case a minor problem turns into something serious.
Yeah definitely The vet is having a look her eye tomorrow. Since he is coming out to the yard to do vaccinations.

Could be uveitis, could be keratitis or even a blocked duct. Glad you have the vet. It might just be an irritation. At least you will know tomorrow :).

My horses have had a blocked tear duct and one has scratched the cornea and they have had a bit of fly eye before, I knew with the scratch it was serious as it was really swollen and he wouldn't let me touch it.

You can often see the eye itself looks different if it's a scratch or trauma compared to the other one it kind of goes cloudy looking, if you suspect it's scratched or damaged I wouldn't leave it until the following day a lot can go wrong over night.

Eyes aren't something to mess around with, if you have any doubts call the vet straight away because what may be treated with a cream today could be an ulcer tomorrow and ultimately end up losing the eye.

As others have said, you don't mess around with eyes.

There's a whole array of things it could be. it doesn't look too angry from your photograph, so hopefully it's something minor and you've caught it early. it's been quite windy so perhaps some hay or bedding has been blown in or he could have a small ulcer. Good luck with the vet.
