Random post, but just wondering if anyone had the name of a good eye specialist?

Try the Royal Veterinary College - they have an entire opthalmology department

Mine went to Potters Bar with his eye problem, they were very good but didn't ever find the problem and eventually it sorted itself.
Hmm I'm about as helpful as a chocolate teapot aren't I?

Our old pony had uviitis amongst other problems and we took him to a vet at Newmarket who was an expert. Your vet should be able to recommend, or refer you to, a specialist that is nearest to you.

Ok bascially I need to get my own specialist to substantiate my claim that the vet who vetted my horse originally was negligent for not picking up he was blind in one eye...long story and i'll PM anyone who's interested but can't really discuss on here! xx

My vet is very good with eyes and when Cairo had to have further extensive treatment he went to the AHT in Newmarket who specialise in eyes.

www.eyevetclinic.co.uk . Paul Evans, a Cambridge educated Vet, has set up a team of ophthalmic veterinary surgeons at this specialist surgery in Herefordshire. The team do off site visits to various practices around the country, so you could find out from the website if they visit any near you.

Friends pony had a ulcer in his eye last year, went to Liphook and they did everything , very thorough. Forgotten his name but he was one of the head honchos there!
